Born and raised in Utah, married and one daughter is certainly the ideal Utah family model. Growing up in this beautiful part of the world, has given me the jumpstart and motivation for my passion of the outdoors. My father was an avid outdoorsman which he inspired the love of the outdoors in me, at a very early age. Hunting and fishing has been a part of my family’s heritage for many generations, and still is today. I started hunting the typical upland, waterfowl and big game here in Utah. As with many young hunters, this passion and experiences became an addiction above the normal family traditions. With this passion and addiction, it soon led to me bigger adventures which also made me realize I need to contribute back to our conservation and heritage efforts. I have traveled all over the world, many times for the past 25 years on business related trips. But nothing compares to the hunting and fishing trips that I have been able to enjoy including the United States, Canada, Alaska, Africa and South America. I have been a member of SCI since 1997 and have served on the Utah Safari Club International board for several years. During this time, I have held the positions of Humanitarian Chair, Education and Public Relations, Vice President and now serving as the President. It’s my commitment and ambition to SCI and the local community, I will be able to inspire future generations and contribute to the preservation of species while protecting our rights to hunt.
