Our Mission

The Mission of the Utah Chapter of Safari Club International is to be your local and global leader in protecting your freedom to hunt through Wildlife Conservation, Camaraderie, and Community Service.

Protecting Hunting, Conservation & Outdoor Heritage

Safari Club International (SCI) is the leading organization dedicated to protecting hunting rights, promoting conservation, and ensuring the future of ethical hunting worldwide. The SCI Utah Chapter carries that mission forward at the state and local level, advocating for Utah hunters, funding conservation efforts, and fostering a strong community of sportsmen and women.

Who We Are

The Safari Club International Utah Chapter (SCI Utah) is a proud part of SCI’s global network, working to defend hunting, support conservation, and educate future generations of outdoorsmen and women. Through advocacy, fundraising, and community outreach, we ensure that hunting remains a fundamental part of wildlife management and outdoor heritage.

Our members are committed to protecting the right to hunt, funding conservation programs, and educating the next generation of hunters.

As part of SCI’s national and international efforts, SCI Utah is actively involved in statewide and global initiatives, including:

Defending hunting rights and working on state & national legislation
Supporting wildlife conservation and habitat restoration projects
Providing educational programs and scholarships for young hunters
Funding humanitarian efforts, including feeding programs and conservation-based philanthropy

What We Do

Conservation & Wildlife Protection

SCI Utah actively supports conservation projects that help sustain healthy wildlife populations and preserve habitat. Funds raised through our banquets and sponsorships go directly toward efforts such as:

Wildlife research & habitat restoration
Anti-poaching programs
Species reintroduction projects
Hunter-funded conservation efforts

Advocacy for Hunting Rights

SCI is the leading advocate for hunters at the state, national, and international levels. SCI Utah works alongside lawmakers, policymakers, and conservation groups to:

Protect public land access for hunting
Defend legal, ethical hunting practices
Fight against restrictive legislation that threatens hunting traditions
Educate the public about the role of hunting in conservation

Community & Education

Annual Banquet & Fundraising Events

Our annual SCI Utah Banquet & Auction is one of the biggest conservation fundraising events in the state. Proceeds from the event fund conservation programs, hunting rights advocacy, and outdoor education initiatives.
